We appreciate your donations of new or gently-used clothing, household items, furniture, toys and more! We want your donations to have the most impact to share the good news of Jesus Christ!

We do ask that you only donate items that are in clean, working and sellable condition.

Unfortunately, there are some items that we are unable to accept due to the high cost of disposing of items that we can't sell.

Items We Gladly Accept

We only accept items that are clean, odor-free, complete, and in safe working condition.

Category	Accepted Items
Clothing & Accessories	Clean, odor-free apparel for all ages and seasons. Shoes, boots, belts, bags, and jewelry. Linens, towels, and pillows (no rips or stains).
Home Decor & Media	Antiques, collectibles, home decor, and artwork. Books, CDs, DVDs, puzzles, games, and toys.
Electric Housewares & Appliances	Fully working small appliances (microwaves, toasters, toaster ovens, fry pans, George Foreman type grills, etc.). Small plug-in electrics (alarm clocks, radios, record players, etc.). Working large appliances (washers, dryers, fridges, etc.).
Furniture	Couches, tables, chairs, dressers, and sturdy furniture. Must be in clean, undamaged condition (no rips, stains, or broken parts).
Sports & Outdoors	Bicycles, scooters, sports gear, and exercise equipment. Functional lawn equipment and snow blowers.
Mobility & Health	Safe usable walkers, wheelchairs, and crutches.
Baby & Child Safety	Toys and games. Car seats under 6 years old (unexpired, recall-free).
Seasonal Decor	Complete holiday items, working artificial Christmas trees, and functional holiday lights.

Items We Cannot Accept

To help us manage high disposal costs and adhere to safety regulations, we kindly ask that you refrain from donating the following:

Category	Items to Keep or Recycle Locally
Computers, TVs & Media Players	TVs, VCR/DVD players, console stereos, and video game systems/handhelds. Computers, monitors, keyboards, printers, scanners, and copiers.
Large Home & Furniture	Mattresses, box springs, bean bags, and entertainment centers. Pianos and organs. Furniture that is ripped, stained, worn, or broken. Inoperable/non-working appliances, animated items, dehumidifiers/humidifiers, and lighted items.
Home Improvement	Building materials (doors, windows, cabinets, screens). Window treatments (curtain rods, used shades, and blinds).
Infant & Medical Safety	Breast pumps and walking casts. Car seats over 6 years old. Cribs with drop-sides or wide slats (slats wider than an upright soda can).
Hazards & Perishables	Paint and flammable materials. Perishable or expired food items. Opened personal care items (lotions, makeup, shampoo, conditioner).

Whether you’re looking to volunteer for just a few hours a month or regularly each week, Legacy Thrift provides an opportunity to meet neighbors, make friends and make a global impact. You can volunteer in various capacities, engaging your passions and skills.
